I know there is probably old threads on this but thought I would ask for fresh opinions. I am almost 50 and look pretty young except for these two dang vertical lines between my eyebrows - makes me look old and mad. Usually I am not so vain but I just cant stand looking at them - but I am scared I will get botox and end up with a droopy eye or something.

I plan to go to a dermatologist not some "botox party" or something.

Also - do you think other fillers are better like Restalayne (cant really spell it)

I have that exact same vertical "mad frown" line! I'm a few years older than you.

I had it Botoxed twice - by a board certified dermatologist - and, bupkiss. Nuthin'. The first time didn't take so eight weeks later he did it again for half price but again it made no difference. He did tell me that forehead wrinkles were difficult to eradicate because the muscles around the head are so strong.

However it was relatively inexpensive ($250) and painless so I'd say give it a try; it might work for you. It apparently works wonderfully for some people.

Haven't tried Restylane or other fillers so can't help you there.

the 2 lines in between your eye borws are called "elevens".

botox is your friend, always remember that.

botox will get rid of the elevens.

There is a new trend among women in their 20s getting botox, so I definitely think you can. I will probably start doing it when I'm 30. I stare at a computer screen so much and have studied my butt off for so many years, that I'm already noticing myself frowning when I shouldn't be. YIKES!!!

It's a preventative measure. But still ridiculous I know. I'm guessing eventually their body won't be able to take any more botox and they'll wake up at 40 looking like they're 60.
