This is an interesting photo - of REGULAR WOMEN (not celebrities) in their fifties and sixties - my mother and her sisters.
My mom is the one on the far right in the pink shirt - she is the oldest of the sisters, late sixties in this photo. She is healthy and has taken care of herself all her life.
Notice the two middle women in the photo, in the glasses. They are the middle sisters. They've led pretty unhealthy lives - both have had health issues. Between their health issues and their glasses, I think they are definitely "showing their age."
The youngest sister, on the left, is also healthy and active and about 55 in this photo. She wears very little makeup and doesn't even color her hair, but years of an active lifestyle and a zest for life show on her face.
It all boils down to genetics, lifestyle, and personal happiness in my opinion.
Your mother looks great.
Did she have any work done? The fat distribution on her face looks very good. My mother had a facelift in her early fifties and she still looks excellent, now she is in her late sixties.
OK, here you can see she's put on weight, which has aged her somewhat. But she still looks great, she just doesn't have that baby look anymore. She looks closer to her real age than she did at 40, but she doesn't look like any stereotypical 55. Actually, she's almost 60.
Where do you live? Not in my part of the country!! women here in there 40/50's are in the middle of mental pause with 100 lbs of extra fat and frumpy looking faces. Yet even those women still have unrealistic expectations and think they deserve GQ men. It funny as hell.
Yeah, those women are deluded to the nth degree. 10 out of every 10 of that kind will be alone till forever.
You are going to see a lot of old women pictures on here and those old girls will look good but besides all the makeup/wigs, those are filthy rich stars who can afford and bought themselves expensive face lifts but now back to the real world...............................

Thank you! I am proud of my mother.
No, she hasn't had any work done. I attribute her good looks to an active, healthy lifestyle and genetics.

The one with glasses looks the youngest.
Sometimes glasses just make people look older

Glasses, weight makeup
They all look like they have good genes. You can tell they had pretty faces when they were young like Sally Field. With some makeup and maybe a small facelift to get rid of the bulldog cheeks they will look pretty good
My mother had that problem but more pronounced(she had smile lines since her early 30's) plastic surgery has corrected 12 years ago and she still looks great. She was also blessed with good skin.
It's always genes, unless you have a drug or alcohol problem. I don't lose sleep over that, if I don't age well, then people are more than welcome to stop looking at me.

The tragedy, a woman "lonely" forever. The old maid who is a shame to her family and society
Women did you get the memo? If you don't have a man you are pathetic lonely woman. Please marry one in your twenties because only married women age gracefully. Having a ring takes 10 years off. Please do anything possible to keep your man even of that means putting up with cheating or drug habits, because you REAlLy don't want go be a reject.

She DOES look terrific, but don't you think there's a very good possibility that's she's had work done? I would be surprised if she hadn't...
Why in the hell do people keep using celebrities as examples of how good women can look at certain ages? Those women have money for plastic surgery (and believe me, they've ALL had work done), dental work, creams and cosmetics, professional stylists, personal trainers and a ton of other things that we mere mortals do not have access to.
If I had unlimited resources and money to 'look my best' I'd probably look like a celebrity as well.
Let's look and see
