Didn't know where else to put this. Anyhow, I read that one of the stores that takes clothing donations will take even junk stuff they wouldn't sell, and its shredded or something to recycle.. Anyone know where it is?
Basically I've got TONS of clothes from as far back as the early 90s sitting in my shed taking up room, because it always seemed like such a crime to just pitch em. These are like childs clothes mainly, but a bit of everything..
GoodWill and Salvation Army are the first two that come to mind. I've donated all kinds of clothes, furniture and odds and ends to GoodWill. Get on line to find the nearest donation center near you. If you have alot, you can schedule to have them come out to your home and pick it all up.

But my question is about stuff they wouldn't re sell. Do they sell it to another company? I think I've heard of somewhere that has clothes shredded and makes like shop rags or something out of them.

It was my understanding those things that could not be sold in there charity stores were given to the homeless.
Easter Seals takes clothing donations too. A few times per year they come through our neighborhood and they also have drop-off available. If you do a google search you could find out more, since I don't see your location listed. If you look up the center near you, they may offer pickup too.
I know someone who would take their bags of old clothes and set them inside a church.

Not sure about Salvation Army, but Goodwill ships whatever they don't sell overseas.
You can also try looking into donating to the homeless veterans..
