Do any manufacturers make summer weight pantyhose? I'm one of those rare birds who refuses to go bare legged and don't want to mess with tanning lotions--thigh highs end up around my knees

I don't know where you live but I love the Pantyhose from Dress Barn you can usually get 3 pairs for 10 dollars they wear nice and you can usually get a few wears out of them before you have to throw them out

Thank you. Will see if Dress Barn has a website, too. Glad to hear someone else still wears pantyhose!
Ok I should probably just not post this, but I haven't worn hosiery in ages. When I did, I always wore stockings with garters, instead of pantyhose, and I opted for vintage stockings, in my experience they were much more sheer, more lightweight, and thus way more cool than modern options.
By any chance would the flesh tone fishnet/crochet type stockings work? I wear them quite often in the summer, they let my skin breathe and also keep my thighs from sticking together when it's humid.
I swear by them in the summer. If you find a color that blends enough with your skin tone, it can look pretty classy and polished. Nordstrom usually has a good selection, and I'm also seen them at Target.

That's an excellent idea! Going to go look fir some. I HATE the feeling of dress shoes with no hose.
I got mine at my local grocery store of all places and I love them. It depends on the shoe style of course but they work well with a lot of my flats and heels. They come in hosiery nylon fabric, lace, nylon blends, or thin cotton/spandex. I prefer the thin cotton. The only problem with them is because they are tiny, I lose them in the wash, a LOT. I should get a lingerie bag I guess.
