My girlfriend is 5'5 and I'm 5'9 and her hands are much bigger than mine. Though I must say that was one of her most endearing qualities when I first met her. It can be a very sexy quality!
However, she insists on wearing incredbly long squared off French-manicured nails which make her hands look absolutely massive - now that can be embarrassing cos people start saying "oh my god your boyfriend's got such little hands...!"
OK...I was told that a woman with large hands can "Hold onto things better" this came from a man, who was quite large himself. I mean his hands....feet, you got the picture.. And what a nice picture...OH-I didn't say that!

I totally agree! We magnify our imperfections way too big in our minds. We see ourselves as ugly or "just not right" after we read those stupid magazines.
I say, love your big hands. Women with big hands can play basketball better, that's for sure.
Me, I love men with big hands. Heck, I like men who are over 5'10". But that's just my preference. Everyone has different preferences of what they like in the other person.
If that man doesn't like you because of your hands, then leave him and find someone who loves you just the way you are.
The problem is the other way round. You'll find that very few women go for men with small hands, whereas a woman with big hands can have plenty of admirers. To begin with, even if a girl has hands over 7 or 7 1/2 inches, 99% of men will have bigger hands than them.
My girlfriend's hands are 7 inches (plus nails) and she said she'd never had a boyfriend with smaller hands than hers - before me that is (mine are 6 3/4 inches which is so embarrassing).
Long, slender hands are sexy!!! They are ideal. Short and fat are not, at least not to me. That reminds me of John Ritter in Bad Santa, which may be one of his funniest roles ever. When describing the dwarfs hands he says: "Little fingers..... like sausages." LOL
Well you know what they say about big hands and big feet don't ya?
Big gloves and big shoes! (get your minds out of the gutter) hahaha
