I'm 5'6" with small hands and it kills me. I'm about 26 and I haven't grown since middle school. I've always eaten well and got plenty of nutrition, but I guess I wasn't active enough and didn't get much sleep during my adolescent years. The oddest thing about it is that I wear a size 12 shoe, which just isn't typical for a guy my size.
Being a short man is pretty much accepting being literally OVERLOOKED for many opportunities, be it in my love life or professionally. I feel as if I'm too old to still be this insecure about my stature, but I just can't let it go, and I don't see myself accepting it any time soon.
That's too bad Xavihere...sounds like you are your own worst enemy..there's room in this world for every sized man...one is not the better. When my dad worked in a pulp mill, he said the guy that did all the greasing of the machinery was a small guy...had to be, and he made good money too. I'd rather have a doctor with small hands anyday. Maybe try thinking of some of the positives you have going for you, and quit thinking that just cause you're shorter than some it means you are somehow seen as less a person...cause that's not true...at all.

Activity does not make you taller.
Sleep does not make you taller.
Nutrition and genetics are factors... and genetics you cannot control.
Think about all the guys who have it worse than you, like my brother who is 5'3" and my best friend who is 5'5". At 5'7" I used to obsess about being taller myself but eventually you just gotta realize that it's not worth wasting your time fretting about stuff you have no control over.
One of my good friends is around 5'5 and weighs maybe 115 lbs soaking wet and he rakes in the women. Seriously... it's actually kind of irritating to hang out with him because he'll just wander away with a bunch of women.
I'm not sure how height influences your professional life unless your are aspiring to be a model or something. There's really nothing wrong with being short. Height is a fairly arbitrary quality. I think it might be your insecurity rather than your actual height that is affecting your professional prospects and love life.
I think genetics is the determining factor. I did not eat less than my two brothers but I am still 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) shorter as an adult.
And I'm 7" taller than my sister...and my brother is 3" taller than me.
Genetics are weird.
