If my skin is tanner, I'll wear a darker foundation to match my color, and always make sure it blends into the neckline. Hate seeing dark foundation on the face that doesn't match the neck!
Even though my face doesn't get much sun; I do use a slightly darker foundation in the summer to match the very faint tan I get on my legs/ arms/chest.
If my skin gets darker I have to use darker makeup otherwise it looks pasty/ill. Bronzer on top of my lighter shade (porcelain) just doesn't work. It comes out orange or looks dirty. A stronger warm blush works for adding warmth in the in between phase.

Its kinda peachy, but too orange for porcelain stage - good with ivory and deeper. There is a bit of glitter to it but you can knock the majority of that off with a fluffy brush and matte it out with a setting powder.
I just use tinted moisturizer and I don't tan so I use the same type all year round.
