Many products from Germany seem to be better than over here in the U.S., so I am willing to try some great German products--especially skin care products. Has anyone on this board used any German moisturizer they find really works?

I love Kamill's skin care line. You can get it here in the US. If someone hasn't traveled to Europe I don't think they would be all to familiar with the products as you don't really see them here much.

I have used Atrix, Penaten, Nivea (the stuff made under license here in the US is not the same), Fa, etc. all available at any drugstore throughout the EU, and I was happy with all of them. I have seen the higher end stuff too but never purchased it as I stay away from anything that's going to set me back triple digits over here in the states too.

Another German favorite is Fa. I prefer showers to baths, and in my opinion Fa makes the best shower gel.

I've used a lot of European skin and hair products, purchased in Europe. You have to be careful because a lot of the European products imported to America are reformulated in order to get them into the country. Frankly the reformulated American versions I've tried haven't been as satisfactory as the European formula. Particularly hair color.

You're going to Germany? Can you bring me back about 6 boxes of Euro L'Oreal Recital Preference color 5.25, Antigua? Beautiful color, I have only five boxes left and I can't get it in the US. Seriously, PM me, I'll send you a check.

Another product I loved in Europe were ampules of marine collagen, can't find those here in the US at all. I was paying about $6 for a box of 10 vials. Great stuff. The brand I was using was from Croatia I think.....really made my skin moist and plump without being oily. There is a French brand of pure marine collage vials I've used as well, but they cost a lot more.

Lierac (French) is a wonderful line of products widely available in Europe, but pretty expensive. I also love (Italian) Venus skin products especially the vitamin C serum. Can't get that in the US either. Venus is not an expensive line.

I often used cheaper skin care product lines from Poland, Croatia, Serbia, and Romania. I was usually happy with the product and the price, especially compared to the prices of similar products from France, Switzerland, etc.

The British Boots #7 line is available in America, but not the entire line and I suspect a lot of it has been reformulated for US import. Boots products are great, try them.

Really, PM me.

I saved the box! (empty, empty )

Just found it, the collagen ampules were the brand Vitaskin, another good line of inexpensive skin care products. From Slovenia.

Not going to Europe in any near future, but know that Germany and other countries make some super stuff you can't get here. Looking for the best skin care products in the world now is all.

I've never tried it, but M.Asam is a german line of skin care carried on HSN. It seems to have a following and the prices aren't bad.
