This thread was so much fun, and enlightening, that it's only right that we do one for footwear.
Along with pumps, boots, sport shoes, flipflops, and everything else, please include:
slippers
garden clogs
your gnarliest winter and rain boots
You do not need to include snowboard boots or ski boots, although figure skates might be nice.
I counted 33. Which I don't think is so bad considering I live in New England so I need shoes for all 4 seasons. Plus a few are activity specific: work shoes, rain boots, snow boots, hiking boots, two pairs of sneakers for running.
Zenstyle- odd we have the exact same number. Maybe 33 is a magic shoe number.
The ones I can see - 84 - I also have boots (prob. 8 pair) and all my winter shoes are packed - so add another 30 or 40. Not counting my work in the yard only clogs, sneakers and flip flops.
I think I have around 20 pairs here in Boston, and another 30-35 back in California. I have a hard time passing up a good deal, and when work gets slow I have a nasty habit of shopping on Amazon I recently bought a pair of $200 Rockports for $25!
My Mom called me about 2 months after I moved to the east coast and gave me an earful because apparently I had filled the oven in the RV (my lease was up and I didn't know if I would be moving so I threw my stuff in storage and lived in their RV for 3 months before moving) with shoes and completely forgot about them after I moved. So, now my poor mother has a giant box full of my shoes in the spare bedroom
Slippers
Ren Faire shoes
Black heels, 3" ish
Black casual chunky soled comfortable shoes that I wear with everything that doesn't warrant the aforementioned heels
