I happen to like them cause like another poster said better for a vehicle to see you with and I also wear neon running and walking clothes so I can be seen better . some mornings it is rather foggy here and we need that extra thing to be seen . So yes really do like them .
I really wasn't overjoyed with this trend when it began but I've grown to like it. I'm alittle surprised it has taken off the way it has but would rather wear neon running shoes over a pastel any day. It might be nice though if there were a few more options for people who work in athletic shoes and still would like something with color but a be more conservative.
Regardless, its pretty neat to look at some of the color combos on the shelves right now.
I hold a job which requires me to walk constantly -- probably do over ten miles daily -- and at the age of 63. I consider myself a user of "disposable shoes"; a pair costs $20-$25 and lasts about 3 months.
The pair I'm wearing (out) right now are black with an electric-blue stipe; but about 4 out of 5 pair I've bought in recent years are white. A couple of my co-workers have noticed and commented (favorably), but next time around, I'll probably go back to "straight vanilla".
