If you're a skinny young thing, who looks good in anything, it wouldn't be difficult, but for many of us it is.
I often think the definition of insanity SHOULD be, buying a new bathing suit every year, and expecting it to look any better than the one I bought the year before.
Anyway, the perfect suit for me is the Tugless Tank from Land's End. I've had them for years and it is the only suit that is comfortable, pretty, and holds in the flab. I am not experimenting anymore.
I have many bathing suits but never really like how they fit so always searching at start of summer for something better. Its just like with bras, tough to find something just right.
My favorite is the Carol Wior 4-way bandeau. It's expensive but it holds in the flab and the skirt isn't too long. It is difficult to get on & off though, especially when wet. I'm still waiting for a good bandeau tankini to pass before my eyes
I have to buy separates because I wear a much larger top than bottom. I have had some success with Catalina and a brand called Alex Marie. I prefer halter tops with regular bikini bottom (not too skimpy)
