I've been thinking about this for about two months. Bangs don't look good. On men, they look stupid, most people would agree. On women, sometimes they look okay but never good and too often bad.
Bangs seem to be a trend on women, maybe a hipsterish trend. I struggle to understand. Is it about hiding something negative about the forehead? Is it an ease of care thing?
When bangs reach the eyebrows, that is just wrong probably all the time. Also, I think bangs are more tolerable with blonde hair, because they blend with the skin and don't get much attention. But I can't think of anyone whose most attractive hairstyle would be bangs. Do any men think bangs look great on women?
Are you against baldness, too. I think it's disgusting but then again I've still got nearly 1/10 of my hair.
I have side swep bangs. High forehead so yes I need them. I has straight across bangs most of my life. I know the trend came back around. But I told many they are time consuming. Combing hair back bringing them forward. Cutting them over and over.
I don't recomend them unless you have nice hair that fall foward nicely.
On looks....I think if you have a very short forward don't get them.
But in reality. ....people will get WHAT THEY LIKE.
If most of the hairs are side-swept over the forehead and clump together, I don't consider that bangs.
The issue should be pleasing any dudes. I'm still waiting to hear, for the first time in my life, a particular male say that he loves bangs (and not just on a beautiful woman who could pull off many other styles).
To be honest, most men probably don't even know what bangs are.
I think most men know what bangs are. It's not a female-only style.
Whenever I refer to beauty, my main point is that its primary component is the reaction it prompts. If a woman is single and wants to mingle with men, she darn well should try to have hair that men like.
Also, Tyra Banks doesn't need bangs. I don't know why - maybe lip size and narrow jaws - but black women seem to do the big-forehead look better than other women.
