Ive never liked clumsy shoes.. to me ladies should have neat feet with pretty shoes... even when I was a teenager in the 60s I wouldnt wear winklepickers... I saw them as long , ugly and tacky...
Very ugly! Just about as ugly as UGGSlies. However, if some celeb started wearing any of those styles, it wouldn't take long for the sheep to start wearing them.
Those hoof boots rule! Too bad the heels are so spindly...
To me, ugly shoes are the big, white, pillowy trainers (a.k.a. "marshmallows") that were ubiquitous among Americans in the 1990s through the 2000s. The white fright seems to have died down a bit, I'm glad to say.
Uggs were designed to be ugly. Hence the UGG part. They were meant for those who will sacrifice style for warmth and comfort. The brand became trendy which, IMHO, is NOT the same thing as stylish.
