In the early 1990s I went on a blind date with a friend's friend, and he showed up wearing leather pants. If I could have turned him down right then, I would have, but it would have been too rude, so I went to the movie we had planned to see, and tried to stifle a laugh all evening. Leather pants say, "I'm trying too hard to be ____," and I don't exactly know what fills in the blank, but it isn't something I want be around.
I don't know if it's me, but I have never ever liked the look of leather pants. Whether they are tight or baggy those pants are not suitable for any style in any generation. It would work out better if you cut them and stitched them up into several pair of leather gloves to sell on ebay for $50 per pair.
I wear chaps on the bike in bad weather ,no big deal ,no funny looks either.
Leather jacket ,boots and gloves . OK so I look like one of the Duck Dynasty boys .
I gave mine away years ago. They're way too hot and the dry cleaning bill is ridiculous. No more leather or dry cleaning anything for me. I like something that's just wash and go.
Yes, some people still wear leather pants - I am seeing them in the fashions spreads this year - the thing is no one wants to wear USED leather pants - yuck - its not like they are fabric and you wash them.
I see them at Goodwill sometimes. I have bought a couple of pairs to upcycle the leather into something different, although leather skirts work better for that purpose.
I haven't seen anyone wearing leather pants in years though
I have a pair. I accessorize them with a one-sleeved motorcycle jacket and a sawed-off Remington with one shell.
Seems like it's missing something...you should see if your local Humane Society has a Blue Heeler up for adoption.
