Do High Heels Have to Be a Perfect Fit to Not Hurt?

Things people will endure for fashion -- get to put forth some kind of image.....

I gave up heels 30 years ago.... and have never looked back. (daily it's flat loafers or mules, for dress a 2" heel pump, that's it)

A friend of mine who's 5 feet tall -- however -- will openly, and boldly declare -- she only where high heels. Oh well.

My days of hard soled shoes, kitten heels and stilettos are over. They have to be moulded soles that give. They have come up with some dynamite stuff. I have a high end look boot made with a molded sole 3 1/2 inch heels and a platform. I will never buy a hard sole again; the new soft flexible soles are fantastic and good for at least three hours of standing and walking. Sketchers had some great sandals this year with a moderate heel. I'm hoping companies develop more of these. Onyx has done molded sole heels for years.
Ladies I think one of the ugliest fashion faux pas is a shoe that is to large and ill fitting especially open sandal type shoes and heels. You even see to large shoes on models and celebrities. I HATE when the heel is slipping down the shoe and not exactly matching the end of the shoe in the back, it cant be to long or to short, a shoe has to fit perfectly or it's not the right shoe, period. A sneaker or boot can be bought larger to accommodate an insole and heavy socks.

My wife had foot problems in the past and finding good fitting and comfortable shoes was a bit difficult and limited her shoe wardrobe. She says her Marchez Vous heels are pretty comfortable even after a few hours of walking around or standing in them, so she really loves them. But I still carry a pair of flats in the car or in the bag ready if her feet starts hurting from the heels.

I put cushions in loose shoes, and walk around the house in two pairs of thick socks for tight shoes. A shoe can fit well in a store at the end of a day of walking (when feet are fuller), yet don't fit as well when I get them home. One of life's mysteries.
