To him, she's just an object or a status symbol, not a human being. The "beautiful" woman living a life of privilege on someone else's dime based entirely on her appearance has a shelf life. What is she going to do in 5, 10, 20 years when her man finds someone younger and prettier and she has nothing to fall back on?
Like Eddie Murphy said: "Half!"

But in all seriousness, these gripe fests got old a long time ago. There are perks that come along with being a woman and also downsides. And there are perks that come along with being a man and also downsides. To sit around and argue about who has it better or worse is futile. Both sexes have it equally good and bad, imo.

Though it would be nice to be like Elin Woods and get half a billion dollars without having made a single damn putt in your life.

Women were made to be feminine period. If a woman is not putting in any effort to be feminine (her very nature) then of course your not going to attract men. A woman needs to do something if she doesn't have the face. You can always work out the body and be skinny. You can always take care of your nails, your hair, your teeth, etc. Good hygiene and a sweet and kind personality go very far with men. But not doing anything with your appearance and crying whoa is me is not going to get you anywhere. Alot of women simply put in zero effort to improve themselves and that is where the problem lies. Unless your disfigured or have a severe disability, there is always something you can do. Show me an ugly woman, I'll show you a woman that doesn't put in any effort.

Elena Kagen got into the Supreme Court because guys all wanted to bone her?

Since social persecution. Every day on tv, magazines, social media etc. it is all about women to be beautiful, and if they are not, they have none value.

Being cute is a preoccupation of youth. Trust me, I'm far past my stud muffin years, but somehow I muddle through. At my age, my single biggest criterion for finding a woman attractive is that she like men. Many women do not, just as many men do not like women. Remember when you were a child and thought boys were icky? Then you got older and they seemed more attractive. You don't like boys any better than you did when you were six, your hormones are just running your life.

I know average looking young women with great boyfriends/husbands and a promising career. I know at least one woman who is so beautiful she stops conversation just by walking into a room, but she hasn't had a decent relationship in 10 years and has been "let go" from her last three jobs. Frankly, she is a flaming *****. Pretty only lasts until you start talking. As guys say, "Beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone."

Yes, our society is lookist. That's primarily an artifact of mass media communications. The cameras point at pretty. However, time makes wreckage of us all, and old people hold all the real power.

Funny! I went through my boy-crazy phase in 1st and 2nd grade. I love men who genuinely love women. You'd be surprised how much this varies by culture.

Great post!

I know lots of ugly women.

They are usually free too...or at least, low cost.
