Condition leather on boots? (product, mens, thin, women)

I bought these boots for shoveling snow. They're warm and have a nice rubber outsole so I don't slip and fall. Women's MERRELL Taiga Zip Waterproof Cinnamon Shoes.com
They're waterproof but I assume I'll need to apply something to the leather uppers to protect them. What do you recommend?

I always use mink oil on my leather boots, it not only waterproofs them but gives the leather a lovely patina too.

Thanks, Jan, I'd heard that it darkens the leather but I like the word "patina" better!

depending on the leather I will use just boot oil or Obenauf's heavy duty leather protectorant.

I've always read mink oil is bad for shoes/boots. Great for saddles and other types of leather gear.
