It's fall, depending on where you live. Most ladies I'm seeing are pulling out their best pair of boots nowadays.
Some women are still holding on to summer sporting flip flops and showing toes in this weather. I told one lady she was brave and she smiled back and told me she wears her flip flops till the frost comes. I guess it's that pain threshold that's greater than a guys so to speak.

That's what I feel too. Most women here start wearing short sleeves and tank tops as soon as the temperature hits 60 F (still quite cold). However, a number of guys still cling on to long sleeves till it breaks 75 F or so. I break even at 68 F, exactly in the middle. Sandals are worn only when temps are above 75 F. Otherwise I am OK with shoes.
I wear flip flops all year. There were maybe three days last year when I got my tennis shoes out and that was only because it was cold enough at 7 am that I didn't want to ride my bike with numb toes. By the afternoon, it was warm enough to be back in flip flops.
I think also it's regional. In the south it's fairly warm all year around whereas in northern climates it's cooler. In Colorado I see transplants still wearing flip flops on cooler days, but they soon learn that when the day starts off cool it doesnt mean it's going to warm up, it can sometimes also snow. lol
ha, i wear flip flops til it ices over! unfortunately, that's happened much sooner than expected. if i could get away with it, i'd go around barefoot all the time. my feet tend to get hot, and i dont like that. plus, im lazy and flip flops are much easier to slip on and off.
OH god I dont ever show mine there so bloody ugly, so Im glad of the colder weather to hide them away... could always get them out tonight though and frighten some guisers at the door...
Here in Texas it can be in the forties in the morning and nearly eighty degrees by the afternoon all the way through October (it was 78 degrees here yesterday). I check the weather forecast and if it's going to warm up considerably during the day I will slip on the flip flops or sandals like I did yesterday, even though it was jacket weather when I left the house.
No biggie. In fact, I'll probably be wearing flip flops well into November - they're comfortable to me as long as the temps are above 60.
