2 pairs of sneakers
a pair of work boots
a pair of sandals.

That's it.

3. Well, 3 walking/running/cross training shoes. Maybe 2-3 flat Converse-type shoes.

Wear 2 of the w/r/cr to work regularly, rarely wear the flats.

Age 67. I always have two pairs of Brooks Beast running shoes -- one old pair and one newer pair that I break in gradually.

When the old pair finally gives up the ghost, I buy another new pair and my "old" new ones become the new "old" ones.

I was in the Puma store in Boston over the weekend and it took all the willpower I had not to buy a couple more pairs of sneakers. But I hsve 2 pairs that I bought last time I was there that I haven't worn yet. So I resisted. Then I saw an dude wearing old school Adidas and I started craving a pair of those. White leather with the black vertical stripes. I'm a real sneaker-aholic. At least it's a relstively inexpensive vice.

Good think you like Adidas and Puma because, yes, they're relatively inexpensive. Nike heads like me end up spending a grip. lol

What do you generally pay for your Nikes? A buck fifty a pair? Even at that price, being a sneakerhead is a relative bargain compared to some other hobbies. But you're right that Pumas and Adidas are cheaper. I spend $50-60 a pair generally for Puma casual sneakers, more for running shoes. I've worn a few pairs of Nikes over the years. but I never really got into them for some reason. They just don't give off the badass vibe that Puma does for me.

I rarely go as high as $150. I try not to spend more than $100 at most.

Oh boy, plenty... Black dress shoes, brown dress shoes, running shoes, skateboarding shoes, sandals for summertime, boat shoes for sailing...
