Hey man, what would you think of wearing a fancy pair of sneakers with a tux for a formal night on a cruise? It could be kind of funky.

Cool idea to me. There was a suit and sneakers fad a few years ago, but it seems like it's died out. A tux would be cool though. I've seen lots of pics where guys get married wearing a tux and Jordans.

I've seen pictures with the groom and each of the groomsmen wearing a different color of the same sneaker. I like it. It's outside the box.

Who can tell? I buy them, I wear them, they get worn, I buy more. Occasionally I throw out the most worn ones when I find them in odd places around the house. I wear them almost exclusively -- I have my newest pair I wear to work, at least one older pair I wear when I'm going out in the dirt, a pair with high-traction soles I use when hiking, and a gray pair I wear when I should really wear regular shoes. I'm in the 40-49 age group.

I didn't wear them to my wedding though; sandals for that, actually.

Which brands do you favor? Do you buy the asme brands over and over, or mix it up? Any particular style that appeals to you?

It's always New Balance, because they fit my wide foot. The 608, the 623 (now 624), and the 1012 (which is better ventilated so nicer in the summer). Unfortunately they don't make the high-traction one I have any more.

One pair of sneakers, and 4 pairs of boots.
