I see people wear them all the time, but I just don't see the appeal of North Face jackets.

I prefer Canada Goose, which is pretty popular where I live.

Pretty much. I was fairly amused when I boarded a plane headed home to Colorado after the holidays to see more than half the plane dressed in black fleece pullovers and jeans. We're a predictable lot, but lovable just the same.

Perhaps the OP isn't directing the original question to someone like me (I don't live, work, and/or play in regions of extreme cold), but I'd like to weigh in.

A couple of autumns ago, an aunt in Pittsburgh bought me a hip-length NF coat with lining and built-in hood. Being a native and resident of Alabama who, until recently, never ventured north between Thanksgiving and Spring Break, I thought the gift was overkill.

Today, Jan. 6, in 21-degree weather, I took my car to be serviced and walked the half mile back to the house. I took no chances and wore the NF coat which protected me from the cold and wind.

My point is that, yes, there are those of us, like me, who "discover" and give our vote to NF because it is our only experience, because it happens to work, and because we are satisfied with its practicality.

The logo thing: I barely notice it. It is small and the same color as the coat, which makes it less noticeable.
