I have a North Face jacket. It is warm, repels water, and still looks good. It's forest green and black. And it has lots of handy-dandy pockets so it's my go-to jacket for walking the dogs.
Is there a memo that I missed stating that I should toss it out because it offends someone's delicate fashion sensibilities?
(LOL at Member's Only jackets though - really? There are still some of those in existence?)
Don't most people choose their parkas/winter coats for warmth? If you looked, you'd see as many Columbia, Cabelas, or Patagonia jackets as any other "brand." Why would you even pay attention to what brand outwear someone else is wearing?
I was in the DC area last week (I live in Miami) and everyone and their brother had one (all of them black in color); seems like a uniform item, that and tights with uggs.
I live in Maine and I see people wearing them all the time now that winter is very close.
