I grew up in the 80's and the big glasses trend was everywhere. I now look back and hate them so much because they block the face so much. I see them back in style, but even bigger then before and I think how horrible.

Why do folks think this is attractive?

Maybe I am older and am not trend friendly, but really regret having these big glasses in the past because it obscured my face when I was younger.

I've never worn them and I don't like them either.

Hah -- last year when I got new glasses (not big), I noticed a rack of large, plastic rims in different colors. They said the "kids" were all wearing them now. Go figure!

IMHO, they look good. Taste is a matter of opinion. There is no right or wrong.

Oh, they're horrible. And it always seems to be really attractive young girls hiding their faces behind these big glasses.
Just because something is a trend doesn't mean you HAVE to follow it.

Just go back and watch any movie/tv show from the early '80's and have a good laugh at the glasses.

You mean not sunglasses? I haven't noticed such a trend myself.

I had them too, I couldn't stand them either and the day that I got my contacts, I remember exactly where I was, I was in my car, I pulled out my big glasses and I broke them in half. That was over a decade ago, I haven't worn glasses since. I don't really care what people are doing nowadays. If the glasses look good, then that is fine, but they aren't for me.
