Same here. I love to "blend in" when I go out so I can watch people. I love to watch the human mating and attraction rituals. Fascinating.
Most women that look good already know it, and most have swollen heads. I'm more apt to compliment her on her abilities or her brain.
If I like her style I may think about it what I have in my wardrobe that I could use to duplicate the look. I might also take note of the makeup style.
If appropriate, I compliment her on her outfit. If she is wearing something that I must have then I will discretely inquire about the article.
I would never compliment her because she gets people saying how hot she is all day!

We are simply acknowledging a great sense of style in the other person. I receive compliments from women on my style all of the time. It NEVER gets old and is a validation of having good style.
