I have seen people apply this saying to White males with light brown hair and African American males in real life. But people say that stereotypically only a few men can pull off that kind of a look. Do any of these men fit the mold?

Not my type. I like surfer types. Tall, blonde/light brown.

Except for your pic of Benjamin Bratt. He's pretty cute. Oh, and so was Keanu reeves. Which make me realize my other type is tall Hawaiian surfer type lol.

Tall, dark and handsome means: tall, dark hair, and handsome

Although I prefer tall, light, and handsome hehe those blue-eyed blondes

Yes and how many of those millions of women are dating those guys?
I think Brad Pitt is incredibly attractive and I'd love the chance to go there, but obviously that will never happen. Will I reject a guy just because he isn't that hot or looks like him? haha of course not!

To me the dark part means a tan not eye color. If a man has blue eyes & blonde hair but a tan I consider that to be the ""dark"" part of it

The original meaning of "tall, dark and handsome" is a guy being tall, having dark hair and dark eyes. Skin color had nothing to do with it. It has morphed into many meanings now.

Richard Armitage (over 6 foot) as Mr Thornton in North and South would be my idea of tall dark and handsome

I thought the 'dark' part meant dark-complected, meaning probably olive or darker skin, dark eyes and hair. I don't think a blond-haired, blue-eyed guy would qualify lol

I am somewhat tall (6'0.5") and have a complexion similar to the first guy in winter. Unfortunately, my face is round and chubby like a 12 year old boy, not tough looking like a man . So, Just include tall and tanned and exclude handsome and that gives you a brief description of me.
