Typically, while going on long haul road trips (over 200 miles) I tend to wear shoes that don't squeeze my feet and make them sweat like crazy. Additionally, I take off my heavy coat to have better steering control by reducing weight on my arms and compensate by turning up the heat.

So, how do you dress up to feel comfortable while driving long distances.

T-shirt, sweatpants, sneakers (as I usually do).

Th most important factor for me is to keep the car warm enough on long trips that I don't have to wear a coat.

Yep.

Plus I usually take my shoes off on long trips, whether they be in a car, a train or a plane.

Additionally, I make sure that the air is hitting towards the passengers and not at my foot. I won't take my shoes off though since it feels odd to drive barefoot.

For women, I do not recommend high heels while going on long drives as its a pain on the foot.

LOL!
Is that based on your personal experience?

No, based on my cousin sisters experience after she drove from San Jose to San Diego in high heels and then complained about foot pain.

Nice try making Kuddy jokes .

Ummmm... NO idea what a Kuddy joke is, Sorry.

And just because your cousin's sister had foot pain driving in heels does not mean all women have foot pain driving in heels.

Kuddy joke is a set of jokes which obviously do not make sense.

Come on, when's the last time a straight guy wore high heels.

Summer- shorts, tshirt, sneakers. Winter- jeans or cargo pants, a long sleeve shirt, sneakers. Jacket is usually thrown in the back seat. On long trips I want to be comfortable, not make a fashion statement.
