When I search for gladiator sandals online, a lot of images show the ones that lace up above the ankle, up to the calf etc, with many straps.

What about the ones with less straps? I remember when gladiator sandals become popular in the later part of the 2000s they weren't so lacy or strapped up so high.

No one replied to my thread (probably since it was January then when I made it) so I decided to bump it today.

Everything I'm seeing is still showing them as a good option, so I think you're good for this season getting a pair.

I saw some cute platform gladiators that I'm debating on (they look a little "manly"). I know what you mean about the ones that strap up to almost the knee, but are still flat. I don't think those would be flattering on most women, but that's just my opinion. I saw a pair last season (wish I'd bought it when it was in my size) that had a hologram color to the straps. That seems cuter to me than the dark toned ones.

I don't even know if I'm going to go with sandals this Summer as last year someone stepped on my toes! It left me with the feeling that maybe I should just stick to sneakers from now on.

I get a lot of catalogues in the mail and the ones devoted to shoes are still showing some of the gladiator style. Not laced up to the calf or knee however, those always seemed more costume-y rather than fashionable.
