I get where you're coming from. I've always thought about that. Those are house t-shirts.

Started reading this thread and then couldn't stop.

I have a child dated 1976 and some of my clothes go way back a few decades.
Holy cow. Yes, I wear them. (they're not ratty, some are back in style.)

In doing some research re: how much natural resources are used in making one shirt, we're talking in the neighborhood of 7 gallons of clean water. That's a lot of water to create clothes that most people use very little, so I like to get clothes at thrift stores where you are saving natural resources and finding clothes that sometimes are brand new - at a discount.

Nice to know there are others who have older clothes lurking in their closets and drawers that they still wear. Cool.

I was looking for something warm to wear the other day and came out of the closet with a date that was 20 years old. I know, I need to clean out my closet.

I think I may have found the original inspiration for this thread. My brother used to give away dated company shirts i.e Rose Bowl 2010 for Christmas 2011. It was a joke until you caught a glimpse of his garage. Boxes upon boxes of shirts. His wife not willing to part with anything.

He just moved into a waterside condo and was forced to purge.

The world is ending all because a guy wore a t-shirt that says 2000 on it. And this impacted your life how?

PS I have socks that are 20 years old. Yes, I still wear them. They aren't ratty or no holes. Should I be burned at the stakes?

Must have impacted your life since you took time to post about 20 year old socks.

I'm not the OP. I wasn't the one complaining about dated t-shirts like you were. And, no, you're thread didn't impact my life. Certainly wasn't life altering by any means.
