I'm actually surprised on how quickly some things are tossed away, sometimes because they are too poorly made, other times because they are replaced for next year's style.
Some shoes and sandals seem to meet this fate often. For some reason I kind of feel bad if I only get a season or less than a year of wear out of something, but maybe it was all planned for that.
Would you say a lot of things you own are like this?
Also, is it just me or does it seem like it is more common for young people (eg. 20-30 somethings) to wear clothing or shoes quickly and change/replace them than older people and stuff sold for that demographic is "fast fashion". Maybe as you grow more mature, you settle into preferred styles where you want to keep things longer than just a short fling.
