Personally, I like chest hair. I think it is very sexy. Some women do not. So if your second half likes it smooth and wants it all gone with wax or any other method you should do it for her.

I'm single now, so the choice is up to me, and I don't like waxing. Far too time consuming & expensive given all the tasks I have to get done.

What the ever-loving heck is with this "clean, fresh & smooth" obsession? Is it driven by advertising? Is it driven by a fear of not being perceived as clean? Is it part of the antibacterial paranoia? Is it a fear of raw and real sexuality and sensuality (this is my vote).

Pretty much, I would not date a man who waxed or was otherwise afraid of his body hair. I would assume a guy like that is afraid of bodies and sex and physical activity in general, so why bother.
What she ^ said.

Or you could find another woman...I think it is stupid to do anything like that for somebody else. I like my hair.

I do shave my underarms often, because I'm more comfortable with them smooth and find it easier to clean than when hairy. Personally, I like wearing tanks during the peak of summer and smooth underarms make it less of an eyesore if I accidentally end up lifting my arms.

Chest is a different story though. I never felt icky or had issues cleaning up my hairy chest, and so plan to keep it.

I used to also remove my armpit hair for the same reason of it being cleaner to be hairless under armpits.

Putting antiperspirant sticks onto hair never made sense to me, but I'm not sure about the spray-on kind.

I experienced less sweating in my armpits when I kept them hairless... but I did get made fun of for it back in the late 80s and early 90s. Is it more acceptable now?

I haven't removed my armpit hair in a long while, but I often consider returning to keeping my armpits free of hair to minimize the sweating.

Some people have argued that armpit hair helps minimize sweat and holds sweat in the hair, but my experience has proven the opposite for me. However, maybe armpit hair can help minimize sweating for people who have a lot of fat on their upper arms which might not get aeration without hair to prevent skin surfaces from otherwise pressing directly together and preventing aeration?

I keep it smooth mostly for aesthetic reasons. But it does help my underarms smell better. No offensive odors.

how do you take care of body hair? body hair gel, bleaching it, coloring it, etc.? there's nothing to take care of other than routine showering with basic soap unless you literally are applying a special cream on the hair to feel special or something. sadly i see movie stars around the world removing body hair. nasty. why would you do that? and the public (sheeple) loves to follow celebs as gods so they copy/paste the trends. not all like hugh jackman but most follow this trend. i realize muscles can be better defined but even if the hair is coarse as you said, it's not as bad as facial hair that when a woman touches a man's chest, it will prick her somewhat. all this waxing trend is pure bs. i like the women (i have to use porn as an example) from the 70s and 80s where their private areas had normal hair growth. it is absolutely arousing. everytime i have a gf, i ask she grow hair in her private area. if growing chest hair was genetically normal for women, i would be wanting that, just like women want the hair on a man (a very large % do anyway).
