I was always told that t-shirts with pictures/logos on them aren't supposed to be worn past 30. For the most part, I think that makes sense, but I have some I kept(and will continue to keep) because they have sentimental value to me that won't change with age. I still enjoy wearing them. If you have ANY article of clothing that you enjoy wearing(or don't enjoy not wearing), and it doesn't violate public decency in some way, I say wear it until you're 97 and don't let anyone else's idea of fashion dictate to you that you can't.
Fashion cycles every 40 years anyway. If someone criticizes you for what you wear now(not necessarily Hurley shirts with the name/logo printed on, but anything you might be wearing), just laugh and remember that their kids may very well end up wearing that exact same thing in a few decades and thinking it's some "cool new style".
Unless you are Bob Burnquist or another pro skater.
I have surfed my entire life, I no longer wear "surf brands" as casual clothes because I am a grown up. Roxy, Hurley, whatever just look silly unless you are coming off the beach. Besides the silly factor, they are just badly made. If I want a hoodie, I want one that will actually stand up to some saltwater and sand. So patagonia is the new go to for active lifestyle gear.
I am also a fan of Patagonia. Then again I am a local to the Ventura Oxnard area. I have been to their offices. Great place to work as well.

I agree. Look, people can do whatever they want, but if we are talking general takes on age-appropriateness, I would say lose the logo shirts once you are out of your 20s. (or maybe just skip them altogether!)
And honestly, (this will probably outrage some folks, just it's just my personal view on style) I think once a man is pushing 40 it's time to start relying less on t-shirts and dressing a bit more maturely, you know, shirts with collars and such.
Actually, this would have been a fashion improvement

I watched American Idol last night and if EVERYONE (including judges K. Urban and H.K.jr.) had been wearing these T-shirts it would have been a major fashion improvement.

Im 48 and although I agree it is time to dress up for work or many occasions, I don't think it is appropriate to dress up when riding a skateboard or riding a bike around town. I live an active outdoor lifestyle and I prefer clothes that fit that lifestyle.
at 65 i am still very fit. can wear them. fortunately for me i dont have to try to strut it in public something i never liked doing. she is happy with private shows at home.
I think they look tacky on everyone. But I never cared for hoodies unless for a jog. I think they make people look like careless bums.
