Never had a problem and I am rough on shoes...overall they seem to hold up much better than Nikes for me but I think New Balance and Adidas generally stay in the best condition the longest for me.
Nike IMHO just don't last with repeated cycles of getting soaked...I won't buy them for daily use anymore due to all the problems I've had.
I bought a pair of Saucony running shoes a few years ago, wore them one day, and had separation of the sole. Within a week, they were falling apart.
About a month ago, my wife buys a pair for our 7 yr old son. So, barely 3 weeks in, they are falling apart. I search online, and find that a LOT of people seem to be having issues with Saucony shoes falling apart.
Is this really a widespread issue?
This is unusual as they're considered a pretty good running shoe. I would return them as they may just be a defective pair(s).
You should be able to get your money back or a new pair.
I have always had good luck with them (both running shoes and casual tennis shoes)
