Never had a problem and I am rough on shoes...overall they seem to hold up much better than Nikes for me but I think New Balance and Adidas generally stay in the best condition the longest for me.

Nike IMHO just don't last with repeated cycles of getting soaked...I won't buy them for daily use anymore due to all the problems I've had.

If you only had the shoes for a week I would try taking them back to the store because they may be defective.

Default Re: Saucony shoes

I have had a pair for over a year, and they look brand new. They are also one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

They have a great reputation...don't know why you have had bad experiences, but I'm sure they would have exchanged them for you.

Is this really a widespread issue?

This is unusual as they're considered a pretty good running shoe. I would return them as they may just be a defective pair(s).

You should be able to get your money back or a new pair.

I have always had good luck with them (both running shoes and casual tennis shoes)
