Not sure I see the problem. How would anyone know they're non-prescription?
This. Unless they tell you, you watch them purchasing them, or you demand to know if every eyeglass wearing person has prescription lenses or not, then how would you ever know?
I don't know anybody that does that in real life. However, it looks very silly when that's all that's need for a superhero's identity to be hidden from everybody.
I'm not sure how I'd know - and honestly who cares? Personally I'd much, much rather see someone wearing "fake" glasses as a fashion accessory than those people who wear sunglasses inside. To clarify, I'm speaking of the dark sunglasses, not glasses that are shaded for medical reasons.
