yes because when you call 911 and they show up to see you wearing a short skirt and long socks they just laugh and say "Haha good one youre such a kidder!"

Isn't that basically a given, in all matters relating to fashion/appearance?

There's a lot of "fun" clothing available to adults without looking like you shop at Hot Topic.

After seeing that photo the first thing I thought of was my Catholic High School (and I had that uniform)
in the US. These were worn all over including the hideous "Hush Puppies" shoes which wouldn't
scuff their floors.

Outside the context of being in front of a prospective or current employer, the whole notion of a complete stranger "taking you seriously" based on what you're wearing is laughable. What does that even mean for a stranger to take you seriously? About what?

I'm certified to administer CPR. So if I'm wearing shorts with knee socks and someone's kid or spouse faints and they stop breathing, are they going to refuse my help if I step up by saying " nope, you're not dressed age aprpropriately, I can't take you seriously?" I seriously doubt it.

I say dress how you want as long as it's appropriate for your setting. Who cares if some random person you see doesn't "take you seriously" because of it? Pffft.....puh leeze.

It just doesn't look as good unless the woman has really nice, smooth legs and a young face.

LOL i can see some 80 year old saying "Ehh all of you have young looking faces!". I can also see some 16 year old saying "eww all of you look old!"

Perhaps it would all work out in some sort of population controlled world such as Logan's Run where everyone has to kill themselves at the age of 30 or something.

And otherwise, it looks good even if this woman is 30+ years old, correct?

No, because when you wake up on your 30th birthday your skin automatically sags all over and your face is all full of hideous wrinkles and age spots (or didnt you know).
