I know how to swim in deep water but don't have swimming trunks which make me look skinny .

I love swimming. In fact, if I could grow gills, I would, lol. I swim in the ocean and the pool, usually every day. My suits take a beating. I only wear one pieces. I find two pieces annoying to swim in. I usually buy one or two every season. My suits only last about 2 years. I truly do not care what what other people think about me. If I weighed 300lbs, I'd still be in my swimsuit. Wouldn't even enter my mind not to.

This was a little before my time but I did see some of the Esther Williams films (from 1940 to the
50's and they were kind of silly)...anyway, I think the bathing suits from that era still look good for
many females (young to older). Check out the website and click on the photo's of Esther in her suits.

For those of us who are a different size on top than on bottom, it's great. I also like when you can mix and match. Some places, like Lands End, will make a few different style tops and bottoms in the same fabric, so you can basically pick your own suit, with a more modest bottom, more supportive top, etc.

I bought one of the Esther Williams suits last year! I love it, it's really flattering.

And . . . I just went crazy and bought 2 new bikinis. I'm pretty busty so it's hard to find swimwear that's stylish, and when I found 2 different bikinis that were sized to fit me correctly, I just couldn't pick. They're pretty retro in style, which I prefer.
