I have seen it. Doesn't look as inappropriate if the legs are skinny and not 'flaunting' cellulite, but I still object. We can make a difference, if any of us are managers, work in HR, or have other easy ways to speak up.
Oh, I totally posted on a similar topic. I have noticed that all over society people are wearing some seriously short stuff these days. Like so short you better not drop your phone or keys on the floor.
I had a school administrator who routinely wore very short skirts and displayed a lot of cleavage, and it really hindered her ability to command respect. It was also offputting to student parents, esp. when paired with other less-than-professional behavior.

Which is a good reason alone to not dress inappropriately. There are ways to dress nicely without sacrificing femininity to command respect and authority. I wonder if this whole short skirt business has to do with holding onto youth than anything else?
I guess the professional environments with which I'm familiar (tech) are pretty conservative then, because the women all wear slacks. I haven't seen a skirt outside of a holiday celebration since...well...pretty much ever!

I work in tech and wear skirts or dresses about 4 days a week.
Everyone's definition of "too short" will vary and is subjective.
The appropriate length of one's skirt can vary by the size of the individual wearing it and/or how the outfit is put together.
But I always find it interesting that its usually the overweight, frumpy and un-stylish people that end to be concerned with what other women are wearing.
