So let's say I do not have a pretty face,then what I am supposed to do to attract men?

Not necessarily. And modest clothing isn't necessarily matronly, either. Clothes that are form-fitting and well-tailored to show off the figure will get the wearer attention. They don't have to be revealing in order to do that. A lot of men think a bit of mystery is sexier than body parts on open display.

In contrast, just because crop tops and miniskirts exist doesn't automatically make them trashy. There are sensible ways to wear clothes:
Obviously, a woman has to have the right body to wear certain outfits. But it is possible to wear a variety of clothes that looks tasteful, feminine and alluring. These are just a few examples of how to pair them together, and no not everyone is going to like the pattern and color combinations but you get what I am illustrating.
When did long granny-skirts come back in? Where were these photos taken? Most of those clothes are really unattractive.

I thought she need a higher neck top/blouse so no hint of cleavage even when bending over. We did agree on lower, less slutty high heels.

It sounds like she really chose the wrong suit, if that many questions about it were coming up. It's not that hard to select an appropriate suit. Surely she had more than one to choose from? It leads one to wonder how she's been dressing for work all these years. Or was this her first office job?

I am wearing a dress quite similar in shape (and drape) to this today- mine is blue and white polka dots! If I recall jerseygal you are a pear shape, so it would work well on you. The neckline makes your top half look a little wider! And your bust bigger.

In my experience, pear shapes need a flared or A-line skirt. Those narrow-skirt styles make the bottom look huge. You know what would look great on her? Those retro styles that Jet Jockey was into. I don't remember the website, but there was some amazing stuff there, and reasonably-priced for all the tailoring that went into it.

I used to be afraid of the pencil skirt. And then I realized I was pairing it wrong. The flared dresses and a-lines are good for hiding your hips and showing off your waist. But you can definitely show off your hips too if you are hippy. If you want. My theory is, they aren't going to disappear so work with what you've got.
The A-line/flared recommendations are from the kinda old school stylist advice of "hiding" your so-called flaws.
So if you want to do a tube skirt, add width at the top, and you can conceal with a hip length sweater/blazer to help create balance.
