And what kind of soap do you use? Please be specific. Bar of Soap? Body Wash? And which kind? Dove?
Material? I use my hands, any material you keep in the shower is a haven for all sorts of bacteria. No thanks.
As for soap, a simple, surfactant without petroleum, most parabens, and I avoid sulfates if I can. Mostly I use soaps from Lush. I really like the honey one lately but I dislike that it has titanium dioxide and sulfate.
I don't get body odor all over my body, most people don't Body odor occurs due to the interaction of sweat and bacteria, most people do not have that type of bacteria all over their bodies and not enough sweat to "feed" them. If you are getting that, you should see a doctor as it can be indicative of serious health problems.

I use two washcloths (a white one for private areas and a colored one for the rest of me), and a combination of Ivory bar soap (for private areas) and Dial Coconut Water body wash for the rest of me.
I had the same reaction. I don't understand how you can get clean using your hands.
I use a loofah at least once a week.
Two separate washcloths - one for privates and one for the rest of me.
As for bodywash - whatever I pickup at Dollar General.
