I'm on the shorter side and men always call me adorable. It's annoying and I don't understand it?

You gotta understand that this, like many things, is relative. Your 4'11" might be my 5'5", or vice versa. There's no dividing line that determines "adorable", or any other descriptor.
Absolutely called little girls adorable though, like girls who aren't teenagers yet.
This. I don't use words like "cute" or "adorable" to describe the looks or appearance of grown men or women. They're not puppies or babies. I "get" how words like cute and adorable are used, often to denote youthfulness, an innocent look or bubbly personality, but it comes off, again, child-like. I can think a behavior or mannerism is cute in an endearing sort of way, but not one's looks.

Even though the person is saying this with good intentions and means well to the person on the receiving end it's annoying and irritating.
Everyone wants to be seen as the whole person they are
