If you are genetically prone to early balding or premature greying of hair, you can blame it to your ancestors but largely – hair health depends upon your blood circulation and nutrition. Hair color is the result of pigmentation attributed to the presence of certain specific chemicals known as eumelanin and pheomelanin (broadly referred to as melanin). The stem cells at the base of hair follicles are responsible for producing melanocytes, the cells that produce and store pigment in hair and skin. In general, the more melanin present, the darker the hair color; the less melanin, the lighter the hair color. If you're looking for grey hair treatment and home remedies for premature greying of hair, you're at the right place. Read more here:Greying Hair | Health Total

I read the article, and the one thing that I would not do is take vitamin E supplementation.

There are too many negatives and question marks associated with it lately.

The idea of bad foods that cause hair to gray faster sounds like nonsense. (Unless they worsen gray-linked medical conditions.)

Putting magnesium oil on the scalp probably is the closest thing to a real treatment of gray hair, short of a new, expensive pharmaceutical treatment I heard of.

I started turning grey at 23 when I was stationed in the far east - a combination of stress and a radical change in diet for 13 months.

Fast forward to the age of 45 and there was so much grey I started going to a hair salon to have it colored every 8 weeks.

Fast forward to the age of 66, retired and I have short pixie style cut. What the heck, I told my hairdresser to just cut it and let's see what I look like with grey hair. My mother never colored her hair and she had beautiful white hair - I hoped to be as lucky.

So, six months later, it is not grey, it is not white. I still have a little bit of my original light brown color, but, the rest is platinum blonde! Love it! I should have stopped coloring it years ago!
