For me it was eyes and lips, so I decided to get lip balm with sunscreen and a heartier eye cream that I have been using consistently.

At this stage it is preventative.

But I agree with he other posters, don't forget your sunscreen!
Thanks

I also use a serum for the eyes and follow it with eye cream.

Thank you again
I can't seem to find a moisturizing enough sunscreen at SPF 30 that doesn't make me ashy. Still looking! But I am probably darker than you so I have some leeway! I have been using boots and like it. The Olay ones were good. I did purchase one from neutrogena. Something with silk in the title that was 50 or 70 that is good, but I need a cream and not a lotion. If you don't have dry skin, pick that one up. It is really good. I layer it on top of regular moisturizer when I am out in the sun a lot. For someone with normal skin it would be plenty of moisture.

Why wouldn't it be ok? A lot of the active ingredients of these anti-aging creams are from plant sources that have been singled out for their ability to inhibit further skin degradation from chronological aging and/or sun exposure and/or rebuild your collagen/elastin. And a lot of these plant sources you can actually get from your local supermarket. Heck, some companies even label their products as "anti-aging" when the only anti-aging action their product does is provide sun protection just like your regular sunscreen. The only thing I would be a little careful about is copper peptides and any cream with vitamin c and green tea together because of their pro-oxidant effect.

I started to really look after my skin after 25 because in reality, once you reach adulthood, your collagen and elastin production go down. Unless you are using something to inhibit their degradation or stimulate their production, things aren't going to look pretty from there. It's NEVER too early start.

No. Most of them won't "do" anything at all. Slather it on!

Exactly! If you pay attention to the ads and fine print, it always says "reduces the APPEARANCE of fine lines and wrinkles. It doesn't reduce the wrinkles, but irritates the skin slightly so it swells up a bit, which smooths out the wrinkles temporarily.
The only thing which will actually reduce wrinkles is something like Vitamin A creme, which literally burns off the outer layer of skin, exposing the new skin underneath.
Never go it in the sun if you use tretinoin crème. It's quite painful.
