Went to one when I was 17. They wanted to put me on some medication which has a side effect of suicidal thoughts. I was like yeaaaahhhh, no. Never seen one since. I grew out of my acne when I turned 20.
Yes, I went there several times as a child due to heat related skin rashes.
My skin is very sensitive to hot & dry weather. Places like Arizona and Interior CA are pure hell for me. Its also very sensitive to synthetic cosmetics. Moving to a place with cold and wet winters followed by all natural skincare products have helped my skin to heal .
I've had several moles removed for testing. It's a little sharp pain when they cut, and then they put a bandage on it and you may or may not need to apply something like Neosporin until it heals. It's about the same as any kind of cut on your body.
If you have anything suspicious on your skin, please don't delay going to the dermatologist. The quicker you catch something cancerous, the better.
I never have. But I probably should. See if they could remove the psoriasis I have on my ankle. Though I have a cream that works, so not as bad as it was, but still eck.
i have a melanoma so ill be going to the dermo doc for life
in 1995 i had a mole removed from my forehead via laser surgery
over the past few years my dermo doc removed a growth on my back for biopsy. that was the one that led to the diagnosis of melanoma. last month he broke open an abscess that developed in a finger. minimal pain both times
Went to have a skin tag removed from my back and a pearl colored something removed from my forehead. Dr. lanced the thing on my forehead which she said was nothing to be concerned about then checked all of my skin for mole/skin issues. Luckily I had none. I have very fair, dry, skin and tend to burn easily. Then she removed my skin tag from my back. I think she used some kind of deadening cream but I don't remember. She placed a bandage on it and said keep it dry for 24 hours. No pain, no itch, no bleeding....piece of cake. Oh and insurance covered the whole thing (no copay or nothing).
I've gone to a dermatologist for about 10 years now (acne). I've had three moles removed... one by freezing it off, one by shaving off what seems like the top layer to test it, and another cut entirely out. I had stitches put in the last one. They have all grown back.
Yep -- I had skin tags taken off, and I had IPL for my rosacea. Worked great...
