I remember wearing them as a teenager too, in my Annie Hall phase. I wore lots of vintage men's trousers, suspenders, etc. This was before I developed my current rack-of-doom, though.

I tried wearing suspenders as part of a costume for a theme party a few years ago, and it just wasn't happening. It was not an attractive look. Suspenders and racks-of-doom do not work together.

Actually... they can be extremely uncomfortable depending on what I'm wearing and how much I can adjust the combination of the seat belt/seat height/etc. I've had the skin on my bust rubbed and chafed pretty badly by a seat belt before when wearing something low cut - and this was just from normal driving.

I keep one of those sheepskin sleeves on my seatbelt for this reason.

I have seen the 'suspenders and nothing else' as a top at strip clubs and I think it is just fine. Of course the suspenders are coming off within a minute or so, so there is not much issue w/ chafing. If there were, she could sew on some soft cotton pads on the inner section.

There are some photos out there of Heidi Klum in suspenders-only, which I will not even bother to link, because I don't think it's attractive on her.

I've seen teen girls wearing red suspenders. They were a thing for awhile with a certain crowd, when I was in my teens.

^^^^^ But aren't you a barrel of fun, Rzzz? ^^^ And what of those men with full breasts, Wry-Martini – don't they deserve your sympathy, poor things?

Anyway, braces or suspenders are more elegant than a belt – especially on high-waited pants – whichever the wearer's gender. And zoot suits don't come in to it
