Maybe as much as professional football players who are only in the game for a few minutes....or actors...it's whatever the market will bear which apparently isn't much unless you're an actual supermodel. That said, I think are a lot of professions that are overcompensated based on the work performed.

No arguments here. It's sad that the people who work the hardest and have the biggest lasting impact are usually paid the least.

League rules limit the number of players who already were the best at least the two lower levels of play. They are also not subjectively judged. Id they push another man they win.

Models on the other hand have no limits on those allowed to work professionally. And client x may have a different judgement over what is better for the product thsn client y. And in the end it matters not if model z is worth paying more.
