My husband has a pair of Reebok walking shoes that he loves and has just about worn out. He ordered a new pair that turned out to be too small, so he sent them back and ordered another pair.
This pair was also too small. He measured them and the new shoes were a half inch narrower at their widest point and a half inch shorter. Ouch!
It depends on your husbands "size". Is he a good strong size or slightly smaller? I wear 11D-11.5D depending on the boot or the shoe and how generous the last is when it was manufactured. I always have to try them on in person and can seldom order online. Work, combat and cowboy boots are more generous and loose than sneakers. They are made for guys who work long strenuous hours on their feet and often wear thick socks. During the course of the day when doing hard manual labor, a mans feet swell and get bigger. He should always measure his feet or try on new shoes in the afternoon or evening, not first thing on a Saturday morning while shopping. What fits at 8 AM won't necessarily fit at 5 PM. Sneakers genuinely run a tad small compared to boots as well. Keep that in mind when purchasing.
