Meh. A tempest in a teapot. I wouldn't mind it. Women have such cute midriffs--that nice, soft tummy and those cute curvy hips. I'd like to see more of that. It would brighten up my day. Work sucks; why can't we dress in a manner that is both comfortable and makes the opposite gender happy?
We stopped at a doughnut shop over the weekend while traveling and they allowed sweat pant type pants and I thought it was completely inappropriate. They were not the traditional sweat pants and not yoga pants either but some sort of shinier material.
Really? at a doughnut shop? were you expecting business casual?

Because it's distracting, so work doesn't get done. It's a business environment, not a beach or park.
I'm trying to bring back the belly bearing half shirts that were popular for guys back in the 80s, and I work in a corporate environment, am mid 50s, size XXL. So far I've been meeting some resistance.

Oh come on now! Who doesn't want to hang with that all day? While you're at it, can you work those mesh shirts from the 80's?
Probably not, but who wears sweatpants to work except athletes like Michael Phelps?
Someone who works in a casual environment with no uniform where they're likely to get dirty easily
