Looking for suggestions for a good flat-iron hair straightener. Christmas gift for wife who has naturally curly hair that goes to about 6" below shoulder. Went shopping for one today and their are dozens of brands and features. Clueless when it comes to this stuff. Tks in advance.

I prefer a Chi. Its what my hairdresser uses, Also use Matrix Biolage smoothing system products on my hair (shampoo, conditioner, and smoothing serum)

I agree with the above poster. Chi is the best. It's about $100 - but worth it.

+1 for Chi. I've had mine for years.

Since your wife has long hair, I'd think you need to get her one of the wider ones.

I'm not sure since my hair is short. I have the 1". Maybe someone with long hair will chime in.

I bought an amazing straigtner for 35$ its Revlon and digital. I have beyond curly and thick hair and it works wonders.
