As in with stuff or not?

With stuff, my limit for carrying a purse would be around 5lbs or so. Anything more and I'll have a snazzy backpack.

I like the look of bigger purses, probably because I'm so tall, so a big purse looks good in proportion imo.

OMG, less than half the size of the smallest bag pictured is my limit. I carry very small to small purses with just the essentials...I don't need that much, big purses are inconvenient, and I do associate them with old ladies.

Ditto.
I want a purse, not a lethal weapon.

Thumbs up I love purses of all sizes!

I have lots and lots of handbags. I ove them!I don't agree that the are old lady bags. At least not the stylish ones Most of the bags that I carry are on the larger size. My 3 largest bags are my Fendi Skunk, My Gucci Fox & Rabbit Fur & my Marc jacobs Luggage bag. Most of the time I don't pack these bags to full capacity so they aren't too hard to handle. I do pack my Marc Jacobs luggage bag to capacity on occasion & when I do it is brutal whem I do. I have put extra pairs of shoes in that thing for when I get tired of my heels. If I carry it too many days in a row I get arm cramps.

The majority of my hand bags are the size of my LV alma or my Luella Gisele. I also have a wide variety of smaller purses such as mY Chanel, my Prada Croc, or my Fendi Baggettes. However bags like these don't hold too many items so they aren't for everyday carry. I am the type of woman that wants to carry a bag that I can fit practically anything in for everyday use.

Geez, I thought this was a purse thread, what's all the animal talk...skunks, fox, rabbits, crocodile, and giseles

I own 2 purses. A black one and a chocolate brown one. Both are smaller than the 5lb bag and mostly empty, just a cell phone, wallet, chap stick, lipstick and some receipts that need to be purged.

That scared me - I had to go weigh mine. Thankfully it was just 3#. I think the heaviest thing in it is my leatherman.

I love bags - I have a lot of them, but I always go back to my favs. LOTS of pockets.
The ones I have, like in Cali's zoo, are treated as overnight bags or totes for the gym in my world.

I didn't vote because those weights are just too much! I have a medium sized Vera Bradley and I carry quite a bit of stuff. I went and weighed it and it's right at 3 lbs. It's not overly large but I need my stuff. It's great for those who can carry lipstick holders but I need more room than that but not 11 lbs worth! That's a baby!
