This. Thanks to whoever posted the link with the pic of the papier mache thing illustrating what a Barbie proportioned human would look like. That mannequin was pretty creepy looking
I already came up with 3 links that said her dimensions were different.
But the link provided that made her bust 39 still wouldn't be that abnormal since her waist line would naturally be 24". When I was heavy set I had an almost 38" bust with a 24" waist especially considering her hips are a narrow 33" compared to her waistline she'd be actually more common because top heavy shapes are more popular than hourglasses.
I'm still hung up on the "Lilli Doll" and mention the doll for men so I had to do some research. Sold in smoke shops.....so maybe men did buy them....creepy. Learn something new everyday.
Mattel bought the rights for the doll originally produced in Germany during the 50s and 60s.
The dolls going for about $1k on Ebay.
On August 12, 1955 Lilli was first sold in Germany, usually found in smoke shops and a few toy stores. Later they were exported to several countries, even the USA (these have a doll stand with only "Lilli" on them, the regular stand says "Bild Lilli".
A newborn baby girl has a waist line? That's news to me! Babies have pot bellies. Until the onset of puberty, girls and boys of normal weight have very similar shapes. In any case, there's so much body hatred going on in this thread, it's hard to know where to look.
You're out of your mind. I have a daughter! She had a belly for a short period of time until she started walking, she has a waist line, not a pot belly.
Yup, either time for breast reduction or back surgery. I knew someone with supersized boobs and she had to fight the insurance company but was so relieved to finally not hure when they reduced them to something realistic. She had to wear a back brace to hold back the hurting.

Did you see the word newborn up there in the portion of my post that you quoted? Do I need to define the word for you?

At my heaviest I had a cup size smaller than her example no back pain...
Ugh. Another Barbie measurements thread? Give me a break. These are the most stupid threads there are. Its a friggin' toy people!! A friggin' stupid doll. Stop trying to pretend its real or that it tries to portray some real body. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
You dont see us guys walking around saying how He Man or G.I. Joe dolls make us feel bad because of the impossible body types they have. Stupid.
In naval parlance, Barbie's dimensions are unrealistic because they depict "far too much sail for so small a craft."
