I don't get it. Her figure is typical for a woman who wears a corset. She was created a while ago when corsets were more popular. If you add 6 inches to her waist it's around 36-22-33 which is pretty typical for a skinny woman. Women generally used to wear corsets so why is it wrong for a doll to mirror that image?
Also your link isn't that out of the norm. Add 6 inches her measurements would be 39-24-33. this is a typical body type for a top heavy woman. Without a corset her waist would have very little difference from her hips. Her bust would be large but many women gain in the bust. My bust actually used to be almost 38" with the same measurements.
The weird thing is in your link says she'd be over 6 feet.

I actually know a lot of skinny women who have the dimensions 36-22-33. A corset can easily make a 22" waist into a 16" waist. Barbie was made in the day when this was not out of the norm. Average skinny women wore corsets at that time and looked just like her due to this.

women wore corsets in the 1850s, not the 1950s. And they are harmful to your health so even if it were the case that being Barbie sized is normal for a woman wearing a corset, that is still not a good thing.

Actually corsets were popular until the 1920's and then was replaced by the girdle.

As long as "nobody" is an old woman. When I was a teenager I knew several girls with bodies like that. Some of them were even better. They just won the good looks lottery. Yes, most young girls who fantasize about looking great will be doomed to disappointment, but not all of them. Of course beauty fades, so even the great looking girls just get to enjoy it for a short time.
